"Well, could you send over my sewing machine?" He asked, grinning as Dayton started to laugh. "What? It would give me something to do that is somewhat productive. Well, once my arm heals that is."
"Lad, the shipping costs would be extravagant if I sent it from here!" Dayton tried to control his laughing. "I will just buy you a new one and have it shipped to the school. Perhaps a newer model, as a reward for doing so well so far."
"Really!?" He nearly fell off his bed hearing that. "Are you sure, Dayton? I do not want to put you out a whole lot..."
"Dolemeck, hard work should be rewarded. You are getting good grades, working very hard on becoming a citizen of a new country, and getting yourself help. All are very admirable and deserve a reward. I will let Mrs. Ramsey know I am getting you a new sewing machine. Just do me a favor, will you? Keep working hard and continue on with your education. It will help you out a lot in life."
"I will, Dayton, I promise." Dolemeck felt so honored to have such a good brother like Dayton. It only made him wish the rest of his family was not as dysfunctional. "Dayton, I have to get going. It will be dinner time soon, and I want to see if I can help Miss Hana with cooking."
"Of course, Lad. I need to go to sleep, myself. Been a long day in the court house." Dayton gave a wave on the video call. "Have a good dinner, Dolemeck. I will talk to you soon!"
"Goodnight, Dayton. I will call you soon!" He waved back to his brother, and watched the call end on his tablet. Carefully, Dolemeck shut off the device and used his powers to get his leg braces back on. After putting the tablet away, he stood up and headed out of the room.
He had a wonderful brother and an amazing family at the school. He realized now how lucky he was, and felt in high spirits once more.
